Show HN: Mod&Dot, a web design and devtools extension Mod&Dot is a new design tool for anyone who works on websites. This is an early concept and I'm looking for advice. https://ift.tt/2Qfkgwi After a site launches, revising the design can be a pretty frustrating process. Designers have to learn git and command line. Or developers have to parse font sizes from redlined screenshots. Clients make printouts and draw on them. Etc. Mod&Dot gives a simple place to collaborate on website edits by saving & sharing changes made in DevTools. Anyone can add comments without using DevTools, too. What do you think? Thought fellow developers here might find it useful. As a developer, I often have trouble reproducing errors at the client end. https://intercept.rest lets me debug and monitor API requests and responses. It is similar to the Network tab in Chrome Developer Tools but works for any API: mobile apps, webhooks, frontend etc. After I shared it with a close circle of friends, they found it incredibly useful and even found new use cases, I never imagined. We build software for drones to inspect power lines and wind turbines automatically. We are three drone enthusiasts. I met Nicolas in 2006 during our Aerospace Engineering studies at ISAE, in France. Small drones were still in their infancy and we eagerly enrolled in the brand-new student micro-drone club. Nicolas later met Geoffrey when working in India for a large aerospace company, while I was working on my PhD in Computer Science. In 2015, we shared a feeling of disappointment that the vision people had for drones back in 2006 had not fully happened yet. For example, utility companies need to inspect millions of power line pylons. They still mostly perform inspections using helicopters or rope access technicians.
